Upgrade windows 8.1 to 10 mobile in 2020 | Windows Store not Working? [Fix it]

Microsoft official shut down windows mobile. Therefore, in windows 8.1 mobile, we cannot connect to Microsoft account nor download apps. But windows 10 mobile still works. Here is the upgrade process of windows 8.1 to 10 mobile in 2020.

Almost all devices can be upgraded which have a minimum of 1 GB RAM. Internet connectivity over Wi-Fi is needed when upgrade. The device has enough free storage space to upgrade and the battery has over 40%. It is recommended to back-up contacts, photos, files etc. before the upgrade.

Eligible Models:- Microsoft Lumia 430, 435, 532, 535, 540, 640, 640 XL, Nokia Lumia 635, 636, 638,730, 735, 830, 929, 930, 1520, Nokia Lumia Icon etc.

Upgrade Process

  • Download Over the software on your PC
  • Run the downloaded OtcUpdaterZip.exe
  • Run the otcupdater.exe
  • Attach the phone to PC via USB cable
  • The tool automatically checks and downloads the available update
  • Remove the device after an update has started

If there are some errors while upgrading, go to WDRT and see if there is any update in the phone and when it gets updated then go to the OTC updater and it will work.

    Can it work for a Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE ? I’ve tried many times but when it reaches 24/210 it stops continuing.so,what can I do?

        Hi, look, I have a Lumia 640 Rm-1077 and when I perform the process I get an error and format it because I tried with the WDRT and did not download the app, so I don’t know what to do about it

      I’ve restarted many times but everytime stuck on 48/195 as I’ve waited for a loong time nd still waiting but no proceeding….

    Great Job ! You have done it all right – Can you let me know when will you find an alternative way to Update the 1020 LUMIA as the hardware is pretty sick and i would hate to sell it off. Any way i can update to windows 10 ?

    Hi, I have just updated my Lumia 640 and it is updating just fine, but I have one issue with my lumia 950 which is already running windows 10. The issue is that it dose not have double-tap to wake up the phone even though it is updated to the latest version. please do you have any idea how can I add or have this feature installed in my phone. By the way I am going to upgrade my other lumia 640xl which I abandoned a year ago, Thanks a gain, god job, waiting for your brilliant reply…..
